Our Story
A Noyes Street Legend
Tucked right next to the Noyes CTA Purple Line station, D&D has been feeding Evanston since 1963 — long before craft burgers were a thing, when a perfectly made Chicago dog meant everything.
We’re a family-owned neighborhood institution. Over six decades we’ve served Northwestern students, local families, commuters, night owls, and everyone in between. The faces change; the food doesn’t. We still use Vienna Beef dogs and load them the right way — no ketchup, ever.

Our gyro is the real deal — lamb & beef on a vertical rotisserie, carved to order, served in warm pita with house tzatziki. One reviewer called it “one of its kind.” We’ll let the sandwich speak for itself.
